Unlock Code Instructions for BlackBerry Cell Phones for All Networks

In this guide I will show you how to enter unlock codes into your BlackBerry cell phone so that it will be unlocked from your current provider such as Cingular AT&T, T-Mobile, Rogers, etc. First you need an unlock code of course. If you don't have an unlock code yet, please visit my store unlock-cell-phones, select the correct store category, and then order an unlock code. No cable or software needed! Just enter the code that you will receive from me and you'll have an unlocked BlackBerry cell phone! Unlocking by entering a code on your phone's keypad is called "unlock by imei". Indeed, it is the most convenient way to unlock your cell phone.
Below are instructions that work for most network providers. Some unlock codes, such as those for T-Mobile locked cell phones, have to be entered differently and are shown at the end.
How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry 8800 and 8800 Pearl:
    1. You must have a SIM card in your phone to complete these steps (can be active or inactive)
Go to settings menu => and then Options.
    2. Select Advanced options => and then Sim card
    3. Type MEPD using your Blackberry keyboard (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing MEPD)
    4. Hold the ALT Key while typing in MEPE on your Blackberry keyboard (NOTE: You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing MEPD)
    5. You should be presented with a prompt "Enter Network MEP Code". Type in the 16 or 8 digit unlock code and press in the track wheel / jog dial to confirm
    6. Your phone is now unlocked
How to Enter Unlock Codes on T-Mobile BlackBerry 8230 Curve:
    1. Press the Menu key.
    2. Scroll to and select Manage Connections.
    3. Select Turn All Connections Off.
    4. Press the red end key or the Escape key to go back to the Home screen
    5. Scroll to and select the Options icon.
    6. Scroll to and select Advanced Options.
    7. Scroll to and select SIM Card.
    8. Type MEPD Note: When typing in MEPD the letters will not appear on the screen. This step opens up the personalization on the device.
    9. Hold down the Alt key and type in MEP2. Note: When typing in MEP2 the letters/number will not appear on the screen. This Step opens up the Enter Network MEP code box.
    10. Enter the unlock code.
    11. Press the trackball (code accepted should display).
    12. Press and hold the red End key to turn the handheld off and then back on.
    13. Once the device has powered on, follow steps 1 & 2 and select Restore Connections.
How to Enter Unlock Codes on BlackBerry Curve:

You must have a SIM card in your phone to complete these steps, I have found that this procedure works best with an AT&T or Cingular Sim card in the phone (can be active or inactive ). Make sure the phone is not displaying the low battery warning!
    1. Power on
    2. Go to settings
    3. Go to advanced options
    4. Go to sim card
    5. Type MEPD
    6. Type MEP[Alt + 2] (all this with either a cingular or ATT SIM inside)
    7. It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter it and your phone is unlocked!

Re: Unlock Code Instructions for BlackBerry Cell Phones

    Slick advertisement for your store.

AT&T will provide an unlock code upon request for free. They also provide unlock code instructions in their email. I cannot speak as to what other providers do.

For more information on how to get a FREE AT&T unlock code look here:
