I have a wireless net at home. My BB is setup to use it for internet. If I set mobile network to 'wifi prefered' and it shows UMA in the top of the screen, are my calls going through my router for free or not?

    My phone is the 8120.

    Cheers

If you have have the unlimited hotspot calling feature on your plan, then you can make phone calls that way as mmuch as you want.

If you don't have the unlimited hotspot calling feature, then depending on the time of day, you will have your anytome minutes deducted for the time of each phone call you make during the day, but nights and weekends are still free.

I don't have an unlimited plan for calls but do have unlimited downloads. Does that make a difference?

You have to have the add on for wifi calls to be unlimited, otherwise it just uses your minutes. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
