However that said, what I'm NOT saying that newer is not always better applies to the BB line.
I think one of the greatest features of each and nearly every BB is the older models are still really terrific devices, and one gets a lot of value out of being able to use one for a long period of time, instead of always having to upgrade.
And example is if I were asked what my ideal BB would look like and be comprised of here is what I would love to see Rim build.
A 7290 case and keyboard married to the guts of a 8700c, with it's brilliant display the OS and device without a camera or music. The only reason I quit using my 7290 was for the advantages of the 8700c as noted. However for me, the 8700c keyboard is miserable as compared to the 7290. That was the best keyboard I've ever used. And as far as size is concerned I liked the large size which was very easy to hold for long periods of time and just worked so well for me.
