    Ugly phones?

Is it just me or are the other phones ugly??? I love the BB's and the Dash is an ok looking phone...but all these slide out phones just seem so ugly, where as to me, the Curve is the equivalent (sp) to Mrs Universe or something! LOL!
Color---it's nothing but a hue of the rainbow...why do people place such importance in it?

whooooop! It's funny how I look at the other phones and try to navigate around it without some type of trackball, seems very ancient!

You're right sasha....all other phones are ugly compared to our beautiful bb's....
I look at people talking on regular phones, flip phones, razrs, etc. I shake my head
    with pity.

That RAZR still looks decent to me but other than that Treos, those MDA things, and most new clamshells do suck.

I think Vertu has some of the ugliest phones ever. And they're supposed to be high end "fashion" phones.

A lot of people thing this is ugly, but I have a little soft spot for it. I wouldn't trade the Curve for it though.

    Re: Ugly phones?

The look doesn't only strike me as ugly now it is the lack of features that one gets used to after using a BB. I was playing around with my mom's phone the other day... it is a clamshell motorola i believe and it was so odd not having all the features and options that my pearl gives me. After using the pearl for a few months now i do not believe that i will ever be able to go back to a regular phone again.

    Is this good or bad?

Depends on one of many viewpoints you could look at this from. Possibly the man one would be cost! Good for RIM...possibly costly for you! Butn, like the old saying goes:

"You get what you pay for!"

For me, the cost is not too big of a factor! The BB is the far superior device, so it makes my decision very easy!

I will always have a Berry!

    Very well said!

I'm with you, I cannot imagine NOT having a BlackBerry.

Especially since prior to the BB I tried Treos', Moto-Q, Nokia E series, HTC etc. They all pale in comparison to the reliability, speed and productivity enhancing ability of the BlackBerry.

    Cheers...

This hits the nail on the head -- after getting used to the advanced PIM features on even the older (6230 etc.) models of BB, going over to a Mot or a Nok makes it seem like you're playing with a toy -- do they expect us to be happy with their ideas of "calendar" and "address book"? Where's the tasks, or memo pad? True beauty of a BB, even the older classic looking devices, is that they are practical and can actually be used.
