Both IM+ and JiveTalk are data only.

Its actually harder to find an IM client over SMS than it is to find one over data.

Thanks all, I used to use JiveTalk on my iphone, but since the switch I was wondering
if it was as good on the blackberry, so far so good.

I guess, IM+ and JiveTalk take the cake.

    Thx

Vote for JiveTalk. Well you can call it expensive (if you buy the userlicence) but you can take JT from one device to another (e.g. If the old one is replaced)

+1 on this. At least with JiveTalk you can transfer licenses to another device if you buy a new one.

I am using gmail, aim, and msn on palringo at the same time so I don't see what you guys don't like and what your problem is with it.

I've never had a problem transferring licenses with IM+ before, I think I've moved my license 6 times now...No problem.

It is MUCH better on the Blackberry. It doesn't disconnected us every time we go to the main menu. It can run in the background. I can leave my Jivetalk running in the background all day and it won't disconnect me.

    +1 Jivetalk
I got a free license for IM+ and I don't even have it on my BB anymore.

Jivetalk is the best but they charge to upgrade to a new device if you had a device license instead of a user license.

Because you are not understanding what we are trying to say. Some people have more than one aim or yahoo account and IT DOES NOT support that.

My Jivetalk constantly signs in and out. I'm looking at IM+ now.

I did not know that. Thank you for the info. Is a user license more than a device License?

I tried IM+ first but I largely prefer jivetalk for its gui and general ease of use.

Both jivetalk and im+ are quite nice though and I could recommend either, I just settled on jivetalk myself.
