Question Truly The Best Instant Messenger 2008

I'm looking for an IM client, one with the following.

    1) Truly supportive cross compatibility, AOL, Yahoo, MSN ect.

    2) Zero per message fees. (Data Plan Dependent)

    3) Log on to multiple accounts simultaneously

    4) Flexible configuration options

    5) Attractive GUI

    6) Small footprint (Does not require above normal memory usage)

    7) Generally error free operation

    8) Reasonably priced or free

a few IM clients that come to mind are Jivetalk, IM+, Umundo, Instago ect.

What considering all of the above would you rank as the #1 IM client?

Well, other than the fact that it's not free, Jivetalk is the best.

I've been using Palringo for the last couple of weeks (since beta release), and I like it.
It gives you just about everything including voice msg, as well as pic msg right within the program.
You might want to give it a shot.

Vote for JiveTalk. Well you can call it expensive (if you buy the userlicence) but you can take JT from one device to another (e.g. If the old one is replaced)

I'm a huge fan of IM+ supports pretty much any IM service. Not too bad for pricing It also comes with 7 day free trial. http://www.shapeservices.com/en/prod...&platform=none

I hate palringo always disconnects and does not support multi-account IM client support.

Its just horrible., but most people have more than one aim or yahoo account. Neither Mundu IM, Instango, or Palringo support this. Only 2 Apps I have found that do are IM+ and JiveTalk.
