Transferring audio files to CURVE end up in RINGTONES folder

For obvious reasons this is a little frustrating...

...in this case, I am not trying to x-fer an entire library of music (for that I'd use the cable), but instead just a single file from a friend or kids whatever... so it is far more convenient to use bluetooth.

My issue (and i have seen mutterings regards this in responses to other threads) is that whenever I activate 'Bluetooth Reception Mode' on my device and select a folder to d/l the file into, it always ends up in the RINGTONES folder.

Now, I can always live with this and manually move the tracks to the Music folder, but this is a RPITA, SO - can anyone help with this please?

    ***EDIT***
Let me re-word this - because I don't think people are getting what I am trying to say here...

Whenever I transfer a file to my Curve using bluetooth, they always end up in the RINGTONES folder regardless if I choose another location to save them to upon accepting the file transfer.

I would like music tracks to go into the MUSIC folder when I save them when receiving using bluetooth...but they end up in the RINGTONES folder...

Hopefully that is a little clearer (although I'm sure that if you read the original post, it's clear as...)

    Cheers! Jeff

instead of using the cable to transfer use the SD card stick it in your pc and will be seen as mass storage and make sure you just transfer the songs themselves not a folder of songs, if this doesnt work then your probably needing a media player app

When doing it thru Bluetooth open the Ringtones folder and hit menu and select receive thru Bluetooth. Make sure your Bluetooth is enabled. Hope this helps

...nope, that was no help what-so-ever.

As the original question states, I already am able to transfer via bluetooth, it's just that the file always winds up in RINGTONES folder. EVEN IF I go to the music folder and activate 'Receive Using Bluetooth' mode.

...and yes...my bluetooth is on O_O

alright settle down...no need to get angry...understandable its frustrating.

Ok so when you go to where ever you want to receive the file. Let's say Music.

    SO go Receive Using Bluetooth

Then a Window will pop up...saying "please choose a location".
Scroll up to the FOLDER select it.
Now you a directory of folders/file system tree
    Hit menu
You can now select a folder, make a new folder, move up, move down, etc.
Navigate to where you want the file to go
    Hit menu
    Select Select Folder

Should bring you back to the "please chose a location screen"
Select save and it should be in the folder that you selected.

Hope that clears it up....just remember you need to navigate to the folder and then selecting using menu
