    Trackball Sticking

I have noticed in the last few days that my trackball (8330 Curve) will only go up and down and not to the left and right. It seems to me that when I first got the phone you had to calibrate your trackball but now I am not sure and would like some help if anyone has any suggestions. Please don't tell me that i have to take the phone apart to clean the trackball!! I hope that there is an easier solution!!

    Easier than you'd think

I'm sure you know.... Go to:
    options/ screen/keyboard.
Scroll down to trackball and set sensitivity.
Other than that, there are links to instruction here on pinstack that show you how to clean your trackball... Just type "trackball cleaning" in the "search for" column..... You'll find safe easy ways to fix it.
    Don't worry it's easy

Sorry, but you'll probably have to clean it.

Try dipping a q tip in rubbing alcohol and applying it to the trackball while turning it. It works for me.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ You can also try a can of compressed air to blow out the dirt

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~I press down and roll the trackball when mine sticks. It seems to free up the rollers. But if it starts to stick, it will start to stick more often. I bought a replacement trackball at www.blackberrytrackballs.com. Only about $13. Easy to replace. You might think about getting one because sooner or later the trackball will stick.

    1. Pop retaining ring w/fingernail.
    2. Drop trackball assy into palm.
    3. Spray the heck out of it w/Windex. Depress and roll trackball several times in all directions.
    4. Flex all ends of all four rollers away from housing.
    5. Let dry 30 min.
    6. Drop back into housing with hangers on assy to your L & R.
    7. Place retaining ring back in place, noting position of three prongs.
Repeat if necessary. This w/keep you rolling indeffinitely. Order backup from source listed above.
