    trackball problems... i think

My trackball stopped moving right recently so I took the assembly out to clean it(second time) but broke it in the process of putting it back in. Long story short I replaced it with an assembly from a pearl (I have a curve 8320). Worked fine... For like 3hours meanwhile I'm using blueapple. All of a sudden my trackball doesn't work and neither does the back button. When I clicked the trackball it registered the letters uo and when I clicked back it registered hl or lh I don't remember. I did a battery pull now back works fine but clicking trackball doesn't work, also it clicks itself randomly I have to lock my phone or else it calls the most recent on phone log or starts a porn wmv while I'm at work. Do I have a virus or a proble with the ball. Btw it moves around perfectly.

That's weird. I remember when I had my Pearl that the trackball just stopped working for a couple mins out of nowhere. Then it went back to normal working as usual. Only did it once though.

Believe me, I was freakin out!!!

Typo I didn't brake the assembly putting it in I.e. Putting force on the board underneath but instead broke it reassembling it trying to pop the metal ring arond the plastic assembly.

I'm surprised Norton & crew haven't brought their security software to market yet for our mini web devices. I guess they're subject to the same nonsense our desktops are. Got to stay off certain sites known for that junk, like adult pages, etc. Best of luck Exile. Hope your Berry's back in shape soon.

Sure sounds like a hardware problem rather than a bug. Any warantee left?

Problem fixed I deleted a few videos and my enter key and bluetooth fixed itself. Trackball was still not properly functioning so I pulled it again and kinda bent the prong at the very bottom of the assembly figuring the difference in the space between a curves contact point and a pearls may be slightly different and now works fine. Where's the relieved emoticon

^^My pearl 8100 did that too, I never did find a fix for it. Eventually the whole keyboard stopped working, even after a wipe and a upgrade.
