Track Santa w/ your BlackBerry via NORAD

Many years ago kids used to watch NORAD's black and white radar screen on television and follow the blip that showed where in the world Santa was on Christmas Eve. Christmas has now met the Internet and NORAD ( www.noradsanta.org)has gone totally hi-tech with a site complete with streaming Youtube videos, audio features, games and even an explanation of how Santa manages to do everything in one evening.

This year there is the option of tracking Santa in 3D with the help of Google Earth and a special NORAD file. You can get the downloads at the website but it's advised that you pay a visit before Christmas Eve to install the files and make sure that everything works on your computer. For the really technologically inclined child, it's also possible to follow Santa's progress by using a cell phone or Blackberry.

Pretty amazing! 50 years. We tracked him all over Europe and Africa down to the Sandwich Islands, up South and Central America - I went to bed when he got to somewhere in Quebec! The next time I looked he was back at the North Pole. Fun with the grandkids.
