    Tough: Re-Sync Calendar with BES???

We have an 8820 working off an exchange BES. The user is missing all his calendar appointments from his BB prior to january. He WAS set to keep appointments for up to 90 days, we changed his setting to "Forever" but the appointments aren't coming in even though they exist on his outlook. How do we get those old appointments into the BB?

You need to resync the device by deleteing the Desktop[SYNC] service book and resending it from the BES.

Try reactivating...if that doesn't bring them in then you may need to wipe the device and reactivate.

The Destkop[CICAL] service book is the one for the calendar. Try deleting that one, restart the blackberry and give it an hour or so to pull all the appts in and see if that works. If not, delete all the service books on the phone (except Provisioning since it won't let you delete that one) and remove the user from the BES and then re-add him, activate the Enterprise user again via the BB and see if that solves the issue.

    Good luck

Yeah, I tried reactivating. Will have to wipe, set to "forever", re-activate, pray.

Problem is it's a finicky CEO and I will need to write down the location of every icon and every other concievable setting to avoid a future high decibel conversation, sigh.

Delete just the CICAL book first and re-send service books first and then do the wipe if that doesn't work.

yea but you have to provision the calendar sync to push "past appts" and not only "future appts" then delete the CICAL service book and resend it

I'm not sure how to "provision the calendar to push past appts"
Do you mean changing the setting on the BB to "forever"? Or is this somewhere on the BES?

well for example in DM when you do a one way sync from outlook to the device you get the option of sending only future appts or all appts including past appts. so then when the device has the past appts pushed to the device is should sync wirelessly to the BES with the past ones as well

Well none of the above have worked, and Mr. CEO is off to europe. I think virex may be on the right track, perhaps if I use desktop manager to sync the appointments, then change back to OTA it will work. . .

Will keep the forum posted. NPI
