I am hearing September for Tmo to drop 4.5 OS.

Not sure on the 8700 specifically.

Be careful installing that OS version! 4.5.0.37 is known to fry SIM cards!

I'm going to wait until TMobile releases an official version. I've had to get 2 warranty replacements on my 8120 already. Its top much hassle reinstalling the original os before I send it back. Hopefully TM will come out with one soon. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

In some cases .37 did render a few sim cards non-functional. I'm running an official .52 release on t-mo and its wonderful.

That is what I meant, thank you. I am running 4.5.0.37 too and it works fine, but got luck and it looks like you did too.

.37 for T-Mobile always runs fine for a little while. To fry your SIM it can take from a few hours to a couple of days. STAY AWAY!
