My time is off by 10 minutes? I think/thought it was pulled from cell tower to the phone? Is it Sprint's fault or can I set the time myself?

you can set the time yourself.
you also should have an option
    under options\date and time

    date/time source

you can choose network, blackberry, or off.

Gp to options>date/time and check if the time setting is set to network blackberry or off. I leave mine on network and have no problems. I assume if it is set to blackberry you set the time but truthfully do not know.

Thanks for the help, it was set to network and was still wrong by 10 minutes, made me late for work this am

I "updated" time and it pulled the new time from the network, strangely reseting the phone (power off and pulling battery) did not pull the correct time?

    bb time with sprint

My 8130 sprint does the same thing. The time is always off by 10 mins or so. I have to go in and change the time under the options menu and I have to do this very often.

Wow I'm on sprint as well, I used to have an 8130, and never experienced this problem. I'd say if it a constant problem then you should not set it to pull info from the network. Set the date/time source to blackberry and you shouldn't have a problem. Unless of course you enter your time incorrectly.

If all else fails, since it seems like no one else has seen this issue, it might be something to contact your carrier about? They may be able to push the time or something like that.

As far as I know the "blackberry" setting updates time from RIM servers (I think I learned that here.) I set mine to off, set date and time myself and have no problems at all with it changing.
