    Yes.

But that will go away when one of three things happen:

#1 - your thumb muscles build up to BlackBerry strength

#2 - you develop callouses where the pain is now

#3 - you lose all nerve cell feeling

I had Sprint Short Mail but none of their phones now have that function if someone has it they have a REALLY old phone. I no longer text from my phone because my brain can not handle the change from BB to phone texting I have suretype.

As for thumbs well thank GOD I have finger nails!

I had the same problem too. My friend has Nextel and Cingluar. His nextel takes about an hour to get, but the Cingular like 1 min

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ I'm on Verizon now and the only time I notice a delay is when one of my buddies on TMO sends a pix messgae to my email. His texts come through almost instantly, as don't texts from other carriers.

I came over from Nextel where I had the same slowness issues as many of you.

Uh, don't worry about your thumb falling off, it is definitely a rare occurrence,

SMS's are fast in my experience, even from me with T-Mo to a friend with O2 in England. But pictures are another matter (including some I send to Yahoo or Gmail accounts, from Blackberry and non-Blackberry phones alike)

I haven't noticed any consistent lag between carriers or intra-carrier. I have, on occasion, seen messages take a long time to transmit, but it is not the norm.

    I am with Telusmobility.
