Ok I just ordered the 8330 Curve from Sprint.
I have the 7100i from Nextel.
    Can I use the Desktop Manger's (Version 4.2.1.8 (Jan 16 2008))
    Switch Device Wizard?
Will I have a problem, because the 7100i I have OS Ver 4.1.0.376
and I'm sure the Curve has a higher OS system?
Most of the programs on my 7100i is for OS 4.1, will
I need to go to the web sites and DL the higher OS programs
like PD,JiveTalk, Empower, others and a few games that I have on my 7100i?
What about my address book and Calendar info?
    Thanks,
Needed to get a replacement 8330 Curve again, so I got a New pin and it's in my profile... Got 8330m now!

The Switch Device Wizard will definitely be useful in this procedure. I had an 8700 and was able to move all of my contacts calendar infor etc to my 8800 using the switch device wizard.

The latest version of Desktop Manager is 4.3, you probably want to use that.

Switch Device Wizard is the tool to use. All your address book/calendar data will be transferred.

I'm not sure if Switch Device Wizard will transfer your apps as well, you may need to load them manually.

Old apps are generally compatible with new OS, so they're likely to work.

    Good luck!

Will Desktop Manager 4.3 work with 7100i with OS 4.1?

Sounds like it went easy. That's what I'm hoping for.

I am not sure if your games will transfer due to difference in screen size. But everything else should.

Thanks Erica. I guess with the games I should go to there
web sites and DL the ones that would be for the curve
and hopefully won't have a problem, from the companys
    getting them re-register.
