    switching bb question

    If I get a new BB and have verizon switch all my phone and service over to it will i still have to get my it guys to do something so i can get my email on it?

    going out of town for labor day and thinking of switching to the 7130 (from 7250) and don't want to lose email over weekend

    Your IT guys will generate a new enterprise activation code, which you will enter in your new BB by going to options, advanced then enterprise activation.

    If you take the SIM out of the 7250 and put it in the 7130, you won't need to do anything. No need to phone Verizon and no need to phone your IT guys.

    When I switched my device, I just plug in the USB and launched DM, it asked me if I wanted to switch to the new PIN. I clicked yes, and the rest got done ota. Messages, contacts, calendar......everything.

    No calls to IT. No change with the carrier.

    Not necessarily true but you're probably right. Not all Verizon properties are CDMA but the majority are. That's the problem with being in the UK. Everyone is on GPRS.

    Ignore the comment above if you have a CDMA device.

    7250 is only a CDMA device 7290 is the GSM version
