    Question Suggestions? Which BB, Provider?

So my Pearl died today and now I am trying to explore my options. Looking for advice as to which Blackberry to get and if to switch providers. I am currently with ATT here in Pittsburgh.

So any opinions? Stick with a Pearl? Curve? Storm? something else?

Stay with ATT? Verizon? anyone else?

Just checking everything out given my current situation

Well, I'm sure you have 3G in Pittsburgh so I say go with the Bold. I have a T-Mobile BB also(pearl) but I don't care for the service. I despise Verizon due to their rates and CDMA.(Get on board with the rest of the world). I would like to have a Storm but with no wifi and no 3G it'll just be a touch screen Blackberry on old tech. That being said I think at&t is the best option. Every carrier has their issues but at&t seems to be the top one right now. Go for the Bold.

Dont go with Sprint. That maybe the first time I have said that. i have been with sprint for years (8) and its about time i jump ship. I would say verizon or att is your best bet depending on pricing and which phone you want.

    T- Mo: BB 9700, 8900, 8220
    Sprint: BB 8330, 8830, 8130, 8703, 7250

sugar, when you decide who/what you want to go with try to make sure that they have a 30-day trial on the plan and phone. Most carriers do and it's a fail-safe in case you get something you don't like.

I've been very happy with T-Mobile and their bb selection. You can't beat T-Mobile price plans. I would go with the curve 8900.

I think the best way to decide on a bb device is to decide on what you need, what you want, and what you can afford...

The three bbs on top are the storm, the bold and the curve 8900...

    Storm - touchscreen
    Curve - slim, full keyboard
Bold - 3g and wifi and full keyboard...

I have a bold because I wanted a device that had everything, and the bold has everything...

Technically speaking, the bold has the current latest technologies... I don't like the fact that the 8900 doesn't have 3g, or that the storm doesn't have wifi...

Ihmo, go with the bold if you can afford it... Its definately worth it, I dished out $800 for it when it came out...

As far as carriers, I'd say stick to at&t...

Do you have to pay extra for wifi usage? It would really be helpful for me as a college student on the go.

I really appreciate all the help guys!

If your device has the wi-fi feature all you need is a (free) wireless connection. Some hot spots charge for the connection. Some don't.
