Was reading the other thread http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com..._cingular.html and it got me wondering what my tmo bandwidth is.
Does anyone know a good mobile bandwidth testing website? I've tried dslreports mobile test but always get 'too fast to be correct*' on opera and blackberry browser not supported on bbb. any suggestions? thanks!
It is the best.
Theres also dsl reports > http://www.dslreports.com/tools
Thanks for the sites!

I tried the dslreports.com test, but
I keep getting "unstable/too fast a result" then tells me to choose a larger file. But that was the largest file. Lol
yes, Thanks! sorry bout the slow reply. same here dsl reports says not compatible with bb brouser and result to fast! can't seem to find the test on cnet, bandwidthplace test seems pretty accurate tho. Thanks again
You are likely not going to get a good reading of your speed using the mobile browser. The speed test tool may try to report the speed talking to your mobile service proxy. You will get a better reading if you use the phone as modem and run the test on your PC's browser.
can a blackberry load java applets to measure speed?
Try it. If your BB melt down to a sizzling mass of hot plastic, well it can't.
The fastest speed for EDGE is 236 kbps.
The fastest for most EV-DO is 1.2 Mbps.
