Something Strange happened
I use a BB device on a generic data plan on T-mobile Macedonia. For my mail i use the gmail mobile application that fetches mail from 4 of my other mail accounts including my exchange server.
I just got the following e-mail message which really stunned me:
date Sat, Dec 13, 2008 at 8:34 PM
hide details 8:34 PM (6 minutes ago) [ETP.DAT]
This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.
Having in mind that:
1. My carried does not offer BB service
2. I've never associated my e-mail address with BIS
HOW DID I GET THIS MESSAGE?
Attached is the Screen shot as well
BB Support rule #1: When in doubt, pull it out..... (the battery)
can anyone take a shot at this?
I have read in other forms that it happens if you actually hit the BES icon. If you are not using BIS its ok to delete the email.
as i stated in my original post.. I dont have neither BIS nor BES. I just use generic data plan. That is why i think that this e-mail is a bit strange!
Here is another thread where this was going on for someone else
Thanks. Read the info. However. never used BB re-dicetor nor BES. This is really strange ans I have no idea how my e-mail address got to the BIS servers since I have never registered it.
Not sure either, been searching around and everything says the same thing. Maybe one of the experts will come along with some new info
thanks anyway. I hope as well that some of the experts might be able to help..
