Someone had my Pearl 8100...Security threats?
I had left my blackberry pearl 8100 on charge at work. I had left work for several hours before discovering it missing.
I found it where I had left it, but there are lots of people around who would love to get in my business.
Could they have done something like copy the files in my pearl?
I had set no password.
If it was not password protected then they could have easily accessed anything on there and possibly copied or forwarded your info to themselves.
Thanks for your help...
...I guess now I'm just waiting for the sky to fall...
If they are devious enough and pay any attention to recent news stories they could also have installed a piece of undetectable (according to the software writers) software that would not only let them know what comes into and out of your phone but they could also use it as a remote mic along with listening to conversations you are having on the phone. They did a news story about this once and it took less than five minutes to install the software onto a basic model phone using the phone's own internal web browser. The service costs over $300 but is out there.
Amigotek...I saw this piece on television, 20/20, Dateline, or something like that. How can I find this if it is on my cell?
