yes but i believe it's only available to T-Mobile customers...to double check go into you options --> security --> VPN...if you have this available then you should be able to set it up and connect remotely...hope this helps

i'm not positive, but i thought vpn was only for accessing network resources or resources shared on your pc?

it sounds like you're wanting to view your pc desktop on your device like you were sitting in front of your pc. perhaps whoever suggested vpn meant vnc instead?

please forgive me if im wrong.

    thx

I'm looking for something like that so that I can use to control my iMac. I use RDM to operate the pc, but RDM isn't free. I've found it to be well worth the one-time fee. You can completely take over your pc by controling the mouse and keyboard with your phone.

    Here's one:
    LogMeIn

I never used the mobile version but I have used the PC one and it was pretty good.

Thanks for a quick response--looks like the link you provided (LogMeIn) will allow a PC to control a BB for diagnostic purposes. However, I would like to access my desktop remotely from my 8310 and select files, songs, documents, etc. to send to myself or others.

Hmm you're right. Sorry about that.

Well you can try these although some are expensive:
    RDM+

    TSMobiles

    VNC+

I can't seem to find any others that are cheaper or better yet, FREE.
