    Sim card for Europe

Just installed my new French (carrier = Bouygues) SIM card in my ATT Pearl 8100.

(ATT provided me with the un-lock code that I THINK I correctly put in phone)

I have the SIM card number and new French telephone number on my paper receipt.

The phone is now asking for a PIN code, and telling me I only have 3 tries to get it right.

Are they asking for my Blackberry PIN (23F5826) ?

I am in the US and want to test my new French telephone number.

    Thanks in advance!

Yes I believe they are asking for that 8-digit code.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

To disable the function go to Options - Advanced Options - SIM Card - Press Menu Button and disable Security. Then You will never ask again.

    Thanks Peter,

Did as you suggested but found my phone already in 'security disabled' mode.

    Any other ideas?

Well I guess that is one of the rare carriers who did not allow to disable this security feature
    Sorry... no other ideas.
