    signal strength to strong?

    Ok today well right now me and some buddies went bow hunting well I had no signal for about 6 miles of walking then I came across this tower I pulled out my cell to make a call/chat w/e and it read the signal at 110 then it cuts out no service but when I walk like a few hundred feet away it cuts back in at 109 seems weird to me just seeing if anyone else has exp'd this took a break to send this is lol gonna get me a deer!!!!!

    I don't pay attention to my signal in numbers.

    But I don't think signal can be too strong, only too weak.

    MykR0, Check your indicator again, see that little thing that looks like this - in front of your signal strength? So it looks like -110 dB. Can you guess what that means? (I'm teasing you) -109 dB, is stronger than -110 dB.

    Anything less than -105 dB I.E. a larger Absolute Value is pretty much useless for reliable use. Let's put it this way. The closer the number is to 0, the stronger the signal you are receiving is.

    I don't think that tower was on your network or one that you can roam on. Either that or you were under the Antenna Radiation Pattern, but if that was the case you wouldn't of lost your signal before.

    Just remember -90 is higher than -100.
