This is my first bb and its a pearl. I love my bb, I had a treo before and it was stolen so the salesperson at tmobile introduced the pearl to me and I won't ever look back.

I don't understand what took me so long to get one.

I now want to upgrade to the curve, hopefully it will be the javalien.

My first ever bb was the black pearl when it first came out. After the white pearls came out I had to have one so I got that one about a year after getting my first. On October 22 I got a Curve....Im borrowing it but I love it like its my own! lol

I will never llingly go back to a regular phone....my pearl died on me a few weeks ago and I had no choice but to use and old Samsung Trace (?)....it was torture not being able to send and receive emails and browse the internet....mostly I missed BBM. I am self-proclaimed addict.

I got my Curve in January 2008 from a friend. He told me to try it and I refused. I didn't want to pay for BlackBerry service and was perfectly happy with my Nokia N73. He kept bugging me and on April 1st (April Fool's) I finally took it out of the box for the first time after four months.

I thought it would take some time to learn the OS etc. But it took me 2 hours to learn almost everything. I got a basic email plan and I was hooked. I was hooked bad.

    I don't know why I didn't do it sooner.

I kept the Curve for 4 months, when the Bold got released, I was in line getting one. My cell plan has doubled in cost because of the data, but there is no way I can ever go back to a regular cell phone.

    Totally addicted.

I could not agree more. My 7290 had the best keys & keyboard ever. Nothing comes even close to the typing comfort & speed of a 7290.

I started with a 7520 and now have an 8830. I'm thinking of the blackberry storm next but I sure love my 8830 and there's nothing wrong with it. Kinda hard to upgrade that way.

Your right, but for me I have to have the latest out. Especially when the new BB (4.6/4.7) are well should be much better then the ones already out. My point is, I can't have anything old when the new one is out.

This is my first year with Blackberrys, Last year i was getting a new Att contract with my dad at bestbuy in chicago. Everything was already set up, so it was time for a phone. Of course im very picky about the style and form of the phone. So first i wanted the palm, dont know with one was it, but my dad said no. than i saw the pearl (8100) and i was like to my dad "im not leaving this store untill i get this phone" so after like 10-20 min talking with my mom and dad, they finally agreed and i got my bran new black pearl. When the guy gave me his to try it, i scrolled the track ball only up and down haha and than he showed me that it can be scrolled to the left and right (i felt dumb). When i got home i googled the pearl and found bunch of things for it. Than somehow i found pinstack. Since than i owned a curve (8310) (after like 7-8 months with the pearl) had the 8800 for a day, 8320 for a week and now i have the 8220 and bold. My next one prolly gonna be the Storm (GSM version), Javelin or magnum.
