Has anyone tried the AIM txt forwarding thru sms ? I am trying it and it works well as long as your on an unlimited txt plan and dont mind plain txt and wont miss a fancy GUI.

You get your AIM IM's and sign on notifications sent to your phone as normal txt messages. It also good as you dont have to use up any of your memory or CPU processing power by running an IM program.

    If you go http://mobile1.aol.com/mobileaim/forwardims

It takes some getting used to as your probably used to a fancy colorful AIM IMer like OZ or Ramble. This you just get plain sms texts.

oh and one thing, for those of you guys who are using OZ and wondering how come only 30 of my buddies are showing up? I know I have more than that...

It's because you are only allowed to have ONLY 30 buddies. No more than that, which makes this application SUXXXXXX

I can handle the 30 buddy thing to an extent, what I can't handle is the delayed message delivery and receipt!

I've been fwding IMs through SMS, and I just log on to Ramble to respond, it works well, but I want a better application without random disconnects.

I really love the forwarding sms/IM's now that I am getting used to it. I even switched my Yahoo IM to sms already.

Now instead of my battery dying in less than a day I get close to three days !!!

    Smartpish,
I am very new to this site, but you were a big help to me!
I also reading the posts and I found out so much garbage about this Oz messenger!!!
I called T-mobile and I found out that I had to pay an extra 100 dolars for Text messages.... the SOB was charging me as text not data plan!!!
I think we all need to complain about this OZ ****!
Besides the program sucks!!!!! I can't ever see who is online, signs me off all the time!!! SUCK
Any suggestions for a free & good msn messenger download?

If you need an ok solution, IM+ works fairly well but its $50 bucks and I don't like the lack of notification options. But we deserve better! The ticket is still alive and well, join up if you haven't yet! We can win!

I hate OZ..stops connecting on AIM at 20% and when and if It connects. I send a message it says "Sending Failed: Network Error" I have called so many times and never gets fixed. I hate it. I use Ramble but always disconnects without warning

Those are my same qualms too! But it's even worse when it's connected and doesn't deliver messages or you don't receive them! And yes, 4.1.18 is the one we all have. I really hate that client. We deserve better.

Here's an awesome update: T-Mobile is escalating the OZ client issue (and even including other phones on the trouble ticket like MDAs and Nokias) - We can do it! Don't loose heart! Big thanks to everyone who has called in so far, and please call if you haven't yet!
