funny thing is, I don't even like dragons all that much.

My grandpa was eaten by one.

I originally was turned away by the Bold (before I even saw it) based on the size comparison specs. I tend to not like larger phones, and even though I settled on large phones in the past due to their features in the end I ultimatly always regretted getting them.

Having the phone in my hand gave me a better look and actually changed my opinion about the phone. It's very nice... the phone is MUCH faster in regards to applications and what not and has A LOT more memory which is great... but it's only a stepping stone and basically the first of it's generation. I may decide to hold out on the Curve for the time being and wait for it's brother devices to come out first before I make the jump and upgrade.
i'm in the same boat as you with big phones. i guess i gotta get my hands on a bold to make the decision if its too big. i take your word though when you say it feels better with the curved edges.

i'm up for an upgrade and i do get deals through the premier site. my guess is the 8320 will be $199 and the bold $299. i guess the screen res, 3G, more memory, better cam, etc..WOULD be better than a blue curve with just wifi.

Are you sure $299 for a Bold.
I am being told without contract $550 to $600 and with Contract $450 to $500

that's what I have heard with a new 2 year commitment. I doubt $500 for contract and if that is so, only hundred dollars more for without contract? that doesn't even make sense

Nobody still to this day is able to verify/confirm the price of the BlackBerry Bold when it's released on the AT&T network. Everything is speculation.

In my opinion based on the wireless/phone market I think RIM is going to put forth their best effort and keep their customers heart and wallet in their best interest.

$249.99 with $50 MIR seems to hold it's weight with what I've seen/heard around in the forums and around at work.

Now in regards to the BlackBerry Curve 8320 -- I personally don't think AT&T is going to price this device at the $199.99 price level and if they do they will surely attach a mail in rebate of anywhere from $50 to $100 dollars.

AT&T has for the most part in the last few months tried to market their equipment to be considered fairly priced... it's more so their monthly service that winds up costing you more in the end.
