Not having much luck with Cingular tech support.

Where could I find an email address for support from RIM?

    Thanks,

    Thats the support email.
you normally have to be a support subscriber for them to answer though. What issues are you having?

My BB has gotten very slow. Hourglass just hangs there for hours.

    I have...

    pulled batt
    re-sent service books
    re-registered
    pulled batt again

    On Cingular with BIS.

    Any ideas?

    First a couple questions.
    What apps are you running?
How much memory do you have remaining?
    What model BB?

Its a 8320 (unlocked) on Cingular, with unlimited data, account current.

Has worked fine since new; 3 months ago.

Standard apps, GMaps, Berry 411, etc.

Only recent app change was downloaded Opera Mini; seemed fine.

Can't get passed hourglass hang to check memory
    or software version.

It may be best to uninstall opera mini and see if it helps. I have heard of some people having issues with it. You can reinstall it if it doesn't help. Might also try a handheld wipe if that doesn't help

If you hook your BB to the PC, does Desktop Manager recognize it? If it does, try removing Opera Mini through the application loader.....if it won't recognize it, here's a thread with something to try:

File Free 0 huh, what happens to your computer once the hard drive is full and the ram is full? Move some of the pictures off onto your sd card, delete some emails and see if then when you pull the batrt if the File Free changes.

No memory is an issue that needs to be addressed before anything else. That's what's making it run horribly slow.

Got it; wow what a newbie I am!

If this thing ever re-boots I'll sort out how to delete
photos. I'm sure thats the memory hog.

    Thanks!

Did you have a lot of call logs, SMS messages and emails on your BB?

Since the memory is at 0, I am sure they have now been cleared, or were about to if you didn't have time to clear the pictures off.

Got rid of the pix and that did it.

Where can I check to see how much memory is being used.

For apps, call logs, photos, etc.
