I am with you there, I don't use the RIM IM Client as I think Jive talk is the best, but if you delete it, it just comes back, and that is the one Icon you can't Hide, The Face book one never came back after I uninstalled it, I an happy to say!

I agree. I'm on TMO and I have those useless "launch to download" icons also.

You can delete the service books for these, but should you ever have to resend them, they come back...

TMO has added Handago and Face book to the BBs on their NW, and as I recall, even switching to another carriers OS, the SBs came to the phone as soon as I registered the device back to the the System, so it goes deeper the just TMOs OS.

My Carrier pushed me down a flight of stairs, then pushed me down a hoagie to make up for it.

I do use the Facebook app (though not very often) and I use Digby periodically, but I don't use Handango AT ALL.

I never had Digby pushed to my Curve however...just Handango and Facebook. I actually downloaded Digby myself, and it is currently not on my device due to my recent upgrade to OS 4.5.0.10. Facebook and Handango are the only apps that were pushed to my BlackBerry after the upgrade...

Indeed. There's like 50 icons that you have to hide on a new AT&T blackberry. Buy this, download that. Blah. I don't even want CNN in my bookmarks, but I can't take it out.

I know! There is no way to delete the bookmarks unless you added them yourself. The preloaded ones can't be deleted.

Does that hold true for all carriers? I'm on TMO and have been curious about cleaning up the bookmarks. Don't need or use the preloaded ones and they won't contract! Every time I go into bookmarks, all of them are expanded?

I have Sprint and its the same. I can delete the icons, and service books, but they eventually return. AOL, Facebook, Google Talk. I hate it. Is there a way to stop this?
