    replacement blackberry

I have had a new BB arrive today. Mine broke when I dropped it, it came with OS 4.3 so I have upgraded it to the 4.5 110 from AT&T as per lavagirl post in 8120 thread.

I now have an IT policy in place and I cannot turn off the firewall.

Applications like xplayer crash as the firewall blocks it working and it gets in a loop.

How can I remove the IT policy forever?

Should I install the correct version for my net instead?

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers,
    Neil.

If at first you do succeed, try not to look so astonished.

Is it a company phone? If so, you may need to keep the IT policy in place to preserve your job :-). It will renew anyway whenever you connect to your computer. If it's not a company device IT policy can be removed easily: http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...it_policy.html

If both phones are 8120s you may also consider a downgrade back to 4.3.

Why would you go back to 4.3?

The phone is my own not a company handset. When I got my original it had no IT policy. When this new one arrived today I just checked the OS and upgraded it.
