    Recovering BB Data...

I was trying to backup my mothers Blackberry for the first time.
She recently acquired a new phone, and wanted to transfer her photos and contacts to the new phone.

So I installed the Desktop manager, and hooked up the BB.
it immediately asked me to update the BB, not knowing how a BB works I reluctantly chose yes without backing up first.

I also noticed that during the update process, it automatically backs up the files.

I accidentally canceled the updated, which caused a 507 error on the BB.
When I ran the update again, it resumed, and restored the BB, however it also wiped all the data on the BB.

Is there anyway to recover the data, or at least find that 'backup' that was supposedly created?

If i go to Backup/Restore there's no option to restore.

By default it puts the backup files in My Documents. You might check there first...

Thanks, I think I found the file.

To follow up, she wants to transfer all her Contacts and Photos to a new phone that's not a BB.

How do i go about doing this?
