    ramble (Repost)

I posted this a few days ago in the OTA section with no luck. So I figured I may have more luck in here.

I am trying to download Ramble OTA to test it out as an IM client but every time I try to download it it has me download a php file. I have tried different browser emulations to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Peace and love.

Just do a search on yahoo and google and you can download from somewhere else. For now, see below.

Searched google but the links I found for OTA send me to the same site your link does. No dice.

Thanks for the help though. Maybe its time I email the company? Surely they would want to know that people can't download their product.

    Yep. Tried that.

Has someone else tried that link recently. I know I am not the only one having this problem. But like pinpoint said it may be on their end.

Here is the .jad file for it.

Save it on your phone's memcard or internal memory through my computer and run it on your BB.

My bad. Wont happen again, blackfish. I should have known that. Feel free to delete either or both.

Lucky, how exactly would I run a file on my media card or internal memory. I have only had this phone a month or so, and I havent even looked for a file system browser of any kind. I just made the jump from a treo and they have no file management system to speak of.

Thanks for help, and once again, sorry about the repost.

Strike that, I figured it out. The file management that is, not the ramble.

I tried opening up the file and it asked if I wanted to download it (just as if I was installing something OTA) and then it errors out.

Everything else on my phone is working perfectly.

Is this even worth it? I am not even that excited about Ramble but it is more the gauntlet that Ramble threw down and challenged me to install it.

Save the file to your desktop first.

Make sure you have the software and Desktop manager installed on your pc so your BB is recognized.

Connect your BB to your pc via USB.

Open my computer, you should see your BB there or your phone's memory card name.

Open it and drag and drop the jad file there.

After that unplug your BB and go to media>explore. Once there locate the jad file and open it.

Everything from there is similar to OTA download setup.

After it has installed delete the jad file.

The OTA link does work. I downloaded it myself. Just fill out the info and the link will be sent via email to the address you provide.
