There are a few bluetooth enabled cameras on the market, you could perhaps pair with the BB to transfer files. But a nicely integrated device would be superb. My Archos PVP can hook up to a camera and record video too, there should be more accessories like this for the Blackberry.

How about RIM designing a camara where the optics can be removed? It could be an intergal part of th bb and pop out of the body when you need to go into a high security, no camara allowed area. Lawyer's, court personel and high level research people would buy a feature like that. You know, the type of users that put the bb on the map in the first place.

Sounds like a good idea. One of the reasons I had to go with the 8830 some of my clients won't let camera's on the premises, if there in your phone, you have to leave it at home.

    Re: Portable Camera

Kodak just recently came out with a bluetooth camera with a wide angle lens and a high zoom lens as well. About the only other bluetooth camera I found online was a low res cheapie that I don't think many people would be satisfied with. Wouldn't mind knowing about some others, especially if they have good document capability.
Aside from that, the only workaround I know of would be to use the micro SD card with the adapter in your camera and then put it in the phone. Seems kludgy since you have to remove the BB's battery cover. That leaves out Sony and Olympus for a start since they use Memory Stick & XD picture cards, respectively.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ I could see using the BB as a sort of portable hard drive to store and show photos. But unless the camera's integrated in some way I don't see much point of having it. The PSP has done something similar though, I suppose if the BB cam could have a little port at the top of the device to plug in to it would actually be pretty nifty.
