    Re: pin message help

Are you using it on a BES (Corporate) system?

Some IT Policies block PIN messaging.

If its on a BES, it has an IT policy on it, whether or not you're syncing to the server, at least as I understand it. (Definitely not the BES expert. I know just enough to be dangerous.)

If your corporate IT policy does not allow it, your phone won't be able to use it. You would have to get the IT policy removed and set the phone up with a BIS account in order to get access to the PIN messaging.

Yeah LTF is right if your ON BES then you still have a policy. That is set up by your IT dept. I would be trying to remove it either since there is probably a reason they have it in place. You may want to just ask about it. Never remove it from your phone without your companies permission though since this is a security risk and can be grounds for termination.

alright here is an update. i actually work in IT and I thought that when your purchased a phone thought att for buisness it would come ready to setup for a BES server, but it does not, its just a normal BIS phone. Also this phone will never be hooked to a BES server. So any suggestions sorrry for not doing my part before i posted. also it has tmobile service with no data plan and unlimited text

Have you sent the service books to the BB yet? Also check the host routing table menu > options > Host Routing Table > menu > register now

I believe the service books will fix it if they have not been sent yet.
