Check it out ya'll. India has given RIM the ultimatum......give them the encryption key to monitor network traffic or no more BB's in India. I say Kudos to RIM for staying true to their security!!

USA=Freedom? Have you read the Patriot Act? Dry reading... but that's how it was designed.

We have freedom to an extent. And I also hate countries that try to limit what people can do.

Yeah, that gepertizes the security in other countries as well! I don't have anything agains anyone, but such a deal will not be happening, if that gets in the hands of the wrong person, things wiil get bad!

Plus I think it would set a precedent that may endanger RIM's stellar security. Not cool. Granted, India is a huge new market, but I'm glad RIM drew the line.

It's bad enough talking to India when calling tech, don't give them more info we won't be able to decipher when it's being read back to us.

granted india is a HUGE market i'm sure, if rim were just to pull out and say no bb for you, and continue with the growth and expansion the way they are, i bet the telecommunication companies in india would go to the goverment and work something out they could bring back to rim and make it happen.

rim is a big company with a lot of money, and like everyone is trying to make more and more, but like already stated, i'm glad (hope) they draw the line and not comprimise thier security for the sake of a few more bb's in peoples hands.
