Saw that in the news last night - they've evidently added encryption aps to it and he's still a BB man.

I'd really be surprised if he had time for that and now, for sure not time for it.

A program with unique specifications that was commissioned by the federal government that is paid for by the tax payers...and probably well worth it for security reasons - if it works!

Its the Sectera Edge that costs 3k, not the BlackBerry. Secret Service will run sometype of advance encryption on his personal BlackBerry, and the Edge will be used for secure communications with generals and stuff.

Just a idea but RIM should come out with a Obama edition of their phones! Maybe add some special features or something nice. :-) I am glad that Obama was able to keep his phone and they were able to come up with some security protocols. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Yea I was thinking the same thing. But if they released the same phone, with security and everything that he has. Someone would take advantage and find a way to get into his some how. They are probably going to make him a specialized phone that is just going to the best one RIM has made yet... just my opinion

They could make a special edition Obama phone without putting the same stuff in it. Maybe just it's own app that lets you email the white house
