    The 850 was the first one, compared with today's BB it may not even really qualify since it was basically just a two way pager that tied in with corporate email. More info with some pictures here:

    I guess around the 857/957 devices. Sometime around then the b started to act as a phone as well.

    The only series I never had the pleasure of owning was the 850. It seems like much longer than 9 or 10 years though. I feel like a Berry or three has always been with me!!

    I know, I was thinking the same thing. I can't believe that the 850 was just 9 years ago! I never carried an 850 but did support them in the company I was working at, RIM has certainly come a long way since then!
