New phone for business
So I have an 8830 world edition, and it has served me well. However, I'm starting with another company soon, and they have a plan with Verizon. I will be travelling a great deal, mostly in the US, but sometimes abroad (Holland, Singapore, UAE, Australia, Mexico, etc), and that is the reason behind the 8830 for me personally. I was wondering, however, if the curve, or pearl would work just as well.
unfortunately the curve and the pearl do not have the sim card slot built into them on the verizon network. i know that verizon does have the 8830 world edition so if you are still travelling abroad i would see if the company will buy you one of those.
I was afraid of that. I was hoping to have a camera blackberry.
you could always get the new company to change over to at&t or t-mobile. but somehow i dont think that will happen...
Who is your carrier now?

I think the 8830 is your best bet for the traveling that you do.

RoGro. the 8830WE is both cdma and gsm compatible. However it only works in the U.S. on the cdma band. the GSM antenna is only capable of recognizing europeon gsm frequencies.
