Actually out there in Callie driving should be banned.

Usually the crap starts in Callie and makes its way to NJ and NY.
Just look at the 9th district Supreme Court to screw life up for all of us with some of their decisions.
Anyway texting and driving got to be the stupidest thing to do.
So what about the ppl that fumble around their car LOOKing for their BT headset. I saw a young lady duck down swerve accross 2 lanes, she popped back up and put the BT in her ear. Which is more dangerous, grabbing the BT or just holding the phone?

They are considering making it illegal to TEXT while WALKING here in Chicago LOL. Seriously ! It has been proposed and now awaitting approval. It's already illegal to drive with the handeset up to your ear they hand out tickets left and right up here.
Go to your local police department, as to see their policy on this law.
Texting, reading or talking on the phone is all ticketable....and from the wife of a cop, if they have to pull you over for a $20 ticket, they will add on any other offense they can to make it worth their while.
I posted something similar a while back and warned people that this will also include reading directions on your phone. Just be warned.
Color---it's nothing but a hue of the rainbow...why do people place such importance in it?
thank goodness for the passenger a.k.a. "The Navigator"
Long overdue driving law. I can't wait.
I ride a motorcycle and it's scary how bad people drive when they're distracted while dialing or yapping away with one hand on the phone and one hand on the steering wheel.
Just another attempt by the liberal democrats (is there any other kind???)in Sacramento to create a bigger more all encompassing nanny state. I hear all the time about people here in CA that they don't like these types of laws, yet they keep electing liberals who by their nature think that government knows what is best, and not the folks. This law is premature, unenforceable and doesn't or won't help with safety.
There are a lot of people who can't drive properly without any distractions. So the problem is not necessarily distractions, its bad drivers with distractions. So instead of putting laws like this into effect, the test to obtain a license should be made tougher, so that not just anyone with a pulse and eyes can get a license. B/c here in Texas, my driving test consisted of me driving through 2 lights and a neighborhood with stop signs.
