The mysterious letter "Y" causes a ruckus occasionally on my BB

Sometimes when typing words on my BlackBerry that end in the letter "y," my BB will enter a "period" after the "y" ending the sentance. At first I thought it was just JiveTalk or something, but I have noticed it in BBM, emails, as well MMS.

Just curious if anyone else has had anything similar.
After further testing, I have discovered it is doing this for the letter "T" as well. (same button on SureType keyboard)

    8130 running 4.3 OS.

It usually resolves itself, it's not that huge of deal for me to pull the battery.

My Curve automatically enters a "." and starts a new sentence after entering two spaces... Is that perhaps what's happening?

Did you check that's not an autotext?

Goto Options - AutoText and check.

Thats a standard shortcut on most BBs. Space also puts a period in your browser when typing an address. It's designed to make typing faster and more efficient.

When SureType is flashing it's suggestions as you're typing a word, it underlines the word in the document with a series of dots. If the word ends with a y, the bottom of the y dips below the line, leaving one single dot just to the right. I think that's your period - - but I don't know what to tell you about the T!!
