    Question MSN data usage

I'm just curious to know approximately how much data an instant messaging client uses? I have an unlimited blackberry data tariff (emails and attachments), but I think instant messaging and google maps etc falls under wap/gprs transfer, right?

I'm just looking for a ballpark number per month I guess, before I start abusing berryvine or something.

You'll get billed if an app uses SMS for message transport unless you have a maessaging package in which case they'll get deducted from that package. Some IM apps use SMS, some don't -- it just depends on the app.

The ones that don't, will the data charge be included in the blackberry data tariff, or the additional wap/gprs usage? I presume its akin to OTA downloads.

It uses normal DATA so check with your carrier if your plan covers it.
