    chandlerbing, Welcome to PinStack.

I don't have a Pearl nor a Mac, but have you installed PocketMac 4.1 on you Mac yet. I don't think you can mount the Pearl, without a microSD chip, but I'm not sure.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with your BB.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    RC is correct.

Without a microSD card, the size of a file is limited to ~ 450 KB or 500 KB. I have not found a method to alter this.

Without the microSD card and mass storage enabled, the BlackBerry will also not mount on the Mac desktop. With the microSD and mass storage enabled, the Pearl will just mount like any other drive.

PocketMac 4 is required for any syncing to be done.

Bluetooth will only work with obex file exchange. If you're on BES this will have been disabled by default.

That said, even with obex, you won't be able to Bluetooth files without the microSD card.

Re: mounting 8100 on mac desktop

    as lewis said..

I get my ibook to recognise my BBs SD card... but not the internal memory of the device... so any files I transfer I have to transfer to the card itself
