    Question Memory again....:(

I've had this problem before so I know the basic drill and even after doing everything I can think of I'm still short on memory - so I thought I would bring it to the forum and see if anyone had any suggestions for something I may have missed. I already have:

    1. ALL of my documents are on a 2GB memory card

    2. erased all pictures, call logs, the ALT LG log, email and txt msgs

    3. deleted old themes

    4. erased unused applications

I now have VERY little on my BB Pearl. 5 downloaded themes, JiveTalk and BeamBerry (used daily), soft reset, Yahoo Go! and 3 games.

Didn't have a problem until recently when I started to make ALOT of calls looking for a new job & apartment, which is why I thought it was call log and messages.

Receiving calls & emails VERY important right now with searches. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I work for Sprint and the best way to solve this problem as well as the phone self deleting memory is to take the battery out once a day and when you have done several things like calls, email, text, web, whatever to hold down the alt button and at the same time push lg lg then and event log will appear push the option(dotted) key and clear log the phone is designed to automatically delete irrelevant things when the log is full

If you want to avoid having to clear the event log, the next time you do Alt LGLG, instead of selecting Clear Log, select Options. You'll see a list of items with check marks next to them. Toggle the check mark for each item (this will take a little while) and you'll never have to clear the log again (well, at least until you do an OS upgrade)!

Thanks for tip RoGro - does this affect which level we should keep it on? (Mine was set to Warning automatically)

I will check browser too - though don't use it much...

Also dumb question - but do we not need this log for IF (heaven forbid) we have a problem and have to take for repair???

No, from what I understand, that log is intended for use as a troubleshooting tool for BES administrators. Once you remove all the tick marks, it won't matter what level you have it set at.

Removing the tick mark only filters the display. It does not change what is being logged.

OK I don't get it I've done ALL of this and my memory went DOWN??? I cleared the browser, reconciled the email, toggled the log boxes, did battery pull - and now these are the numbers I have:

    FREE: 7605460
    TOTAL: 64356352

Can someone tell me what I'm missing here that I'm using MORE now?
