Mail Connector Problem
I installed the BIS mail connector for Lotus Notes earlier today. After a successful install, I was able to send from my BB using the email address and it would appear (almost instantly) in the Sent folder on Notes 6.5
However I was unable to receive any emails. I followed all the RIM documentation (too many emails in the Inbox, emails with attachments larger than 2MB, etc) but it never worked.
So, did a clean uninstall of the mail connector, deleted the email account on the BIS and started over again. Now at setup I can't get past the mail connector failing to connect to bismc.na.blackberry.com - says invalid mail connector server.
The mail connector log shows this:
20:45:33.578 04/29 (0380/2272) PwpClient - Starting PwpClient on Windows platform WinNT, version 5.1
20:45:33.593 04/29 (0380/2656) PwpClient - Database Dll filename is: C:\PROGRA~1\MAILCO~1\PwpDb.dll

Can anyone help?
Re: Mail Connector Problem
Hmmm.... no replies. I can assume either no one uses Mail Connector or no one is having a problem.
I did do a search at support-dot-microsoft-dot-com and found an article that explains the HttpSendRequest Err 12007 problem. It has to do with a security update to explorer (MS04-004):
On a computer that is running Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 with the security update MS04-004, when you try to call the InternetConnect method and then the SendRequest API of the WinINet library by passing the server name or the IP address followed by the virtual directory name...
I wonder if RIM's TeamOn folks know of this?
How can I reach RIM to report this issue?
I have a case opened with RIM on this issue. I will post the resolution when it comes.
