    Ok for a long time I couldn't get emails to my phone and no one could solve the problem so RIM had to tell me to wipe my phone and reactivate it. But just now I realized how stupid I am. I had my firewall on blocking BIS (blackberry internet service) so why didn't rim or sprint ask me to check this? There's tech support for you. Always ignoring the simple and doing things like deleting email accounts and rebooting your phone etc. So make sure to check this

    they probably didn't tell you to check that because most people are on the BIS service, and they don't go into the settings and block it lol sorry

    The funny part is I don't eecal ever intentinaly blocking it. It ended up saying 156 blocked items lol

    This was also happining on my girlfriends 8130 I'm unsure how it got checked to. Its a weird coincedence that I had it on two phones that I bought.

    Cant speak for sprint, but VZW tech support is highly trained. With dozens of different advanced devices the possible ways the custoemers screw up their devices is endless. ITS USER ERROR 95% OF THE TIME!!!!! The simple things ARE rebooting and remove/readd services not trying to climb inside the head of a user whos firewall magically started blocking data connections. Good luck with sprint when you are ready for true support come to VZW.

    Personal opinion. But I think VZW su**s. Girlfriend has them but what gives? Hiked up prices! GSM is the way to go! Come on, the rest of the world thinks that its fine... The US just has to do their own "thing"! About time they got on the metric bandwagon too.

    I don't have a problem with VZW's network per se. I have had issues talking with their tech support, too. I think we're all bound to run into good and bad experiences when dealing with customer support. Just the nature of the beast. But if I remember reading something, Verizon's next high speed network upgrade will use the same technology that Vodaphone is planning to use, so it may be the beginning of a convergence of some variety (of course several years out).
