Thumbs down Lost stolen phone from henderson mn for sale on ebay

Hey every one i was listing one of my spare berries on ebay and as part of the listing theres a search that shows items like the one your selling and i came across this one that stated he found it and was selling it ... so i sent a message via ebay letting him know he could just take it to sprint store and they could get it back to the owner if he was really interested in returning the curve . well this was not the case he returned my message stating then he couldn't make money off selling it then could he ..wtf?
this loser called it an 8830 when it was the 8330 curve . so he goes on to state the device is deactivated and shows no number so it is a CLEAN PHONE RIGHT NOW . and he even goes on to state the case fit his wifes phone so she kept it. what a dirt bag !!!! I wanted to get word out in case some one knows the owner or wants to ask the seller for the esn ( i cant he knows my ebay username)so we can get the curve returned to its true owner. he does not know it, but i will bet a new curve the device is black listed and wont be activated period .. we all know its been reported or it would not have been deactivated.................. heres a link

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Sprint-Blackberry-Curve-8830-Used-for-1-week-MINT_W0QQitemZ120378308682QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCell_ Phones?hash=item120378308682&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14& _trkparms=72%3A1205|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18

I also sent a heads up to ebays security department and the henderson mn police department in hopes this would end up getting the device returned to the owner, but some how i believe it will get back when the sucker that buys it trys to get it activated and the store takes it. and he is out the money .... i would hate to be the seller when this happens as it will involve him returning the money to the fool who buys it knowing the device is not his.
    some people are greedy
some are stupid but this guy is stupid and greedy
in the end i hope the proper person gets their week old curve back and the seller goes to jail for selling some thing that's not his

    wow, thanks for posting.

i really wonder about society when i see crap like this. its like i tell my kids when they find stuff ... its not finders keepers, losers weepers ... its called KARMA. if you find something (electronic device, a lost dog, etc) try your best to find the rightful owner. YOUR BEST!

he has brought bad karma on himself and his wife ...

You have successfully submitted a report.

We appreciate you taking the time to file this report. eBay will investigate to determine resolution.

Come on blackberry users, unite, report, and bug this person, heck if he ever sales anything cheap ill buy it just to post a bad review.

its amazing what you can learn from ebay history lol...

the guy sold 2 cameras, one without a charger (i bet he wasnt able to steal the whole camera bag lol)
Drives a durango, has an iphone or an iphone clone that he is trying to pass off as an iphone.

yep dug a little deeper, he bought an i68 , then bought an iphone back cover, then complained when it didnt fit his chinese i68

Spends alot of money on an audio system.. and video for the durango lol

    ok im obsessive sorry lol

Oh wow, ok he has 3 vehicles...

    Likes sports type video games..

and you can almost see his license plate.

and he lives on a farm

Good eye Heywoodj, I'm sure the device had the previous user's info on it and it wouldn't have been too hard to contact them or someone who knows them (unless password protected/and on a BES).

as j lamma said I am sure the previous owners info was on the device , heck even some frequently called number. when i find a device i look at the out going/incoming calls and I call that number and ask the if they know who owns the missing device. one time i found a phone the owner was not aware they lost and they were surprised i called to return it / he offered some money for its return and i declined ,asking he do the same for some one else dome day .
I never imagined the response this comunity would give to this post and the depths users would go to help a stranger recover their device . but theft effects us all and even if he found it , the fact he did not return it to sprint after i sugested it tells me he has theivery in his heart.
i was hopping the owner was a member of the forum but its their loss, i guess because they lost out on their device and all the info this forum has to offer , plus the fellowship with other berry users .
thanks for your help in getting this resolved

Yes, it sucks that someone would do this, victimizing several people in the process. After reading something like this, it reinforces my belief that I prefer to buy brand new.

Thanks for posting this Heywood. Hopefully the guy will get caught by eBay before some unsuspecting buyer gets caught up in his dishonesty.

FYI, not all people react this way. When we were in France traveling from Paris to Avignon on the TGV my friend left her camera on the train. She reported it to the train company's lost and found but they were unable to locate it and she knew it was a lost cause. She was sick, not about the camera but having lost all her pics from several days in Paris.

The good news:Someone had found it and contacted the name and address after they returned home to NC. She got the camera (and her pics) back all the way from France.

Many (I hope MOST) people do the right thing. It's the rotten people who stand out AND what goes around, comes around. It works both ways!

I like the fact he states " [FONT=Arial]I found this phone at work laying on the floor"Ok...so if your at work and you find something that isn't yours dont you think you should turn it in ?......i mean this is one of your co-workers and your just going to keep it.....goes to show you alot about this guys character...
I am sure if his employer knew he was this dishonest they would let him go....no telling what other things in the office he has jacked !
