Ok here's the deal, I was playing chess not even twenty minutes ago and I moved my pawn up two spaces from its original. That put me horizontal to the computers pawn. In turn the computer moves its pawn diagonally and my pawn disappeared. What the hell is up with that? Now remember I said I moved my piece directly beside the computer.

Can somebody get in touch with magmic games and the MKC2 program designer and let them know about this glitch.

The specific move was pawn B2- B4, with opponent pawn from C7 @ C4. This is a major glitch. One piece can determine the game wether a pawn or a queen. The game programmer's name is Wes Tam.

    Legal Move. Called En passant.

Many computerized chess games don't have it. I'm impressed they took the effort!

From what you decribed its not a glitch it a legal chess move called en passant "in passing" where if your pawn moves the 2 spaces which puts it horizontal to opp pawn the opp can take that pawn as if you had moved one space ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Awesome find, I thought I got cheated by the computer. I was livid. You get some trust points for that.

Lol! Those years spent playing chess with my High School chemistry teacher pay off!

Ya... it's a little odd if you haven't seen it before but it is legal.

I see the post has been answered, but wanted to make note of a new place for MKC II support at Magmic Social. I can't post the url because I don't have level 2 but that's fine since we don't want to promote the site just yet. If you're an MKC II avid player you may want to have a look. To view the site use social instead of www etc.
