    Re: It Lock

Are we talking Keyboard lock? Or a lock put on the BB from someone in his IT department. If it is the IT dept issue it is they (I T) who need to remove the lock from their BES .

What type of locking are you talking about? Which BB you got?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ That's a BES policy. Only way to get rid of it would be to have the original owner of the device contact their IT department and have them remove the BB from the BES and have them issue a blank IT policy.

    Re: It Lock

I don't know anything about that stuff, but would an OS wipe/reload remove that IT policy, or would it be pushed back to the device with the rest of the service books??

    Re: It Lock

If you wipe the phone I believe the IT policy stays, or at least it will kick back in when the phone activates itself on the BES. How are you getting to the security portion of the phone if its locked? Do you enter a password? Usually a BES lock won't let you get that far, it'll be stuck on the main screen until you enter the correct password.

we have done a hard reset like 5 times. he has to enter a password he can't take the password off. Everytime we did a hard reset it always asks for a new password. We just need to get that it test attachment crap off there so he can actually use his phone.

If you know the password, enter it. Go to options, and then security options. Go to general settings and change the password option to disabled. It might as for the password again. That should take off an IT policy password.

    Does this help?

You may just want to give the device back to whomever it belongs to.

    Re: It Lock

chrystalina - your best bet is to start with the seller on ebay. ask him what's up - maybe he has the password
