    Is it my phone or is Blackberry internet slow?

    I have a pearl with sprint and the internet seems to run slow. I have another phone with sprint but it is only a power vision phone and its pretty fast. Is there any way for me to change internet sources or some way to speed up bb browser/ internet?

    if you have a lot of background apps that connect to the internet it might interfere with browser performance. have you tried clearing your history, cache, and cookies?

    I am having problems with my BB browser right now too. It is connecting but it is painfully slow and sometimes timing out. I tried restarting my BB, re-registering, resending service books all to no avail.

    I finally called my provider, Alltel, who had me do the same things again to no avail. They are not aware of any network issues but are starting a trouble ticket.

    ps, no lucky I'm not stalking you here either , just having the same problems as laraiza.

    haha. well how many background app that use internet service do you two have? have you tried clearing cache?

    Cache is clear, I don't have much that is running right now, certainly nothing that would change it today from how it worked yesterday. I clear the cache several times daily, kinda obsessed with keeping my free memory as high as possible. Thanks for the idea though.

    Yes history and cache is cleared. The apps I have are the standard that came with the unit. I have downloaded google maps, windows live search, yahoo to go, and a tetris game I got from mobile rated.

    Ps. I downloaded two versions of tetris on accident, how do I delete it from my apps?

    There is another thread about people having slow internet the last couple days. I have been experiencing it on and off. It has nothing to do with background apps, at least on my phone. I'm with AT&T by the way.

    To delete the unwanted app:

    options>advanced>applications>highlight the unwanted app>open menu>delete

    about the internet...have you called your service provider and asked them to check your area for service performance issues?
