That's interesting and nice to think about, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

I would like to see that happen - more standard rules for all carriers. No termination fees when customers pay full price on equipment (which many do here since we have phone-addictions lol).

I personally don't think the government should be too involved. I'm a firm believer that the market should dictate what businesses offer. I think if there was one cell carrier out of 20 that offered 6-month contracts or $50 ETFs, they would have customers by the droves. Actually I think people would be more likely to stay with them longer, just for that reason.

agreed, but you know there are too many people that are just "I don't care" and complain about the price of X but just pay it instead of boycott it. That is why I think the govt (partly) should regulate some things but not FULLY regulate (if that makes sense).

I would say tmobile is the only wireless carrier in the usa that has reasonable rates. They could use some improving too, but I guess they keep prices cheaper and save money by not getting the best phones. They have the BB 8100 though, so im happy.

T-mobile just launched month to month with almost all of their rate plans and features (including BB) available to anyone. They are calling it Flexpay.
