I am trying to download from blackberry.com with IE8, only because you have to use it. I usually use Firefox. Problem is it doesn't work. Anyone else have this problem?

    There's an 8? JK

I would stick with 7. All the bugs from IE8 won't be solved till they announce IE9 or 10

I haven't tried myself as of recently with IE8, but if you want to continue using Firefox, you can. You can download the "IE Tab" from their add-ons page which allow you to change your open tab into internet explorer when you need too. I no longer use IE at all, as it works perfectly for Microsoft's download site, which requires IE too. So give that extension a try.

try running the page in compatibility mode, that forces the ie8 to run some pages as they run on ie7

    Still Trying....

I like the IE Tab thanks for the info javatyger, and the rest of you as well. But think I have an ActiveX issue.

IE crashes as does Firefox when using IE Tab. Maxthon tries to start the download but never opens the download page.

Glad I could help out - sux about the active x issue. The times I see that is because of settings related to IE browser, but really, it could be anything these days. Good luck; wish I could be of more help.
